The purpose of the All Saints Inclement Weather Policy is to provide for public safety, both here on the parish campus and on transportation routes leading to it. When we have serious weather problems, it takes time to clear snow and ensure that buildings are safe for entry and usage.
In case of inclement weather, a decision will be made as to whether afternoon and evening parish activities are canceled. The parish website will have this information posted to it.
If night-time Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel is scheduled, then the Adoration Coordinator will email or contact those who are scheduled for adoration hours to notify them of a cancelation.
Closings for the parish office are determined on a case-by-case basis, but, in general, follow that for the school and for parish facilities.
All Saints Catholic School
During the onset of a storm and/or predicted inclement weather, All Saints Catholic School will follow the decisions of Prince William County Public Schools regarding schedule changes. In the days following the weather event, All Saints Catholic School will make an independent decision. Similarly, the school will also make an independent decision when only severely cold temperatures impact the schedule for Prince William County Public Schools. All decisions regarding schedule changes, both on those occasions when we follow the county as well as when we make an independent decision, will be announced to the community via SchoolMessenger. When school opening is delayed, the morning Extended Day session will open at 7:00 AM. If there is an early dismissal, the program will operate for three hours following dismissal.
