Volunteer Opportunities

All Saints is a large, vibrant parish offering many opportunities for you to get involved in the life of our community. We invite you to prayerfully consider how you can share your time and talents to assist in building God’s kingdom.

Liturgical Ministries

The Liturgy is the source and summit of Christian life. Please contact Tim Lewicki, Director of Music and Liturgy, at tlewicki@allsaintsva.org to learn more about becoming involved in the following Liturgical ministries:

  • Altar Server
Boys and girls in grades 5-12 help spread love of Christ by assisting the priest and deacon during the English and/or Spanish Masses. To be an Altar Server is a special honor and a great privilege. Opportunities are available to serve Mass at other liturgies, including weddings, funerals, benediction, etc.
  • Art & Environment
Committee members change the altar clothes for each Liturgical season, care for and order flowers for the altar in the church and in the chapel for feast days, and care for the peace lilies/greenery in the church throughout the year. Before Christmas and Easter, there are many additional preparatory tasks.  Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Assist the clergy in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass, and to the sick and homebound.
  • Funeral Greeter
Adult volunteers greet funeral attendees, distribute worship aids, and provide general care and assistance.
  • Lector
Adults, teens, and youth proclaim the Word of God at Mass and other special liturgical events with reverence and understanding. This requires spending time with the Word before your assigned Mass.
  • Mass Coordinator
Adult volunteers prepare the liturgical books, sacred vessels, bread and wine, and other necessary elements for the celebration of Mass.
  • Music Ministry
The Music Ministry at All Saints Church is a vibrant, volunteer-centered program that serves the parish community in all aspects of liturgical life. The choral and handbell choirs maintain an active rehearsal and liturgy schedule, which seeks to provide music of the highest quality for our parish liturgies. All Saints has ten choirs in three languages (Parish Choir, Contemporary Choir, Handbell Choir: Resounding Joy, Spanish Choirs, Teen Choir, and Young People’s Choir). See additional information below.
  • Usher/Greeter
Adult volunteers greet parishioners, distribute worship aids, take up the collection, and offer assistance and hospitality to all present.
  • Video Production Team
Volunteers in this ministry serve as Livestream Operators on Sundays for the 11:30 AM Mass in English and the 1:30 PM Mass in Spanish.
